Diamond O Bulls History
Robert began riding bulls at the age of 16. Even after he and Brenda were married and had their own place they went to rodeo’s almost every weekend in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. During this time they began buying bulls to use for practice.
In 1976 he surrendered to the ministry of preaching the gospel of Christ and turned away from the rodeo business. That same year The Lord blessed them with twin boys, Dustin and Justin.
Much later, after they entered high school, the twins began to become interested in bull riding. That brought their Dad back to buying some bulls for them to practice on. They started purchasing young heifers, bucking them, keeping the good buckers and breeding them to their best bulls. The next thing you know, they were blessed with some really nice bulls that they sold to the likes of Jerry King, Bernice Johnson, Sammy Andrews and many others.
It did not take long to discover that there is money to be made in the rodeo bull business. The Rodeo Registration program started about that time so they registered all their cows and collected semen from their PBR and NFR bulls.
They are now out crossing with proven bloodlines of the NFR and PBR bulls like: Bear Swawilla – J9 Backlash – Houdini – Wrangler Rivets – White Wall – Mossy Oak Mudslinger – Little Yellow Jacket – and 88 Super Duty. They have also purchased heifers from the Pages and the Bergers and are introducing bloodlines from the Rice Ranch.
"We are a family owned and operated business located in Southeast Oklahoma. Our priorities in life are God first, Family second, and Business third. We are not a large operation but we do strive for quality. We thank each of you who have purchased stock from us in the past and hope you will return and that others will give our bloodlines a try. It is always our hope that the stock you buy from 'Diamond O Bulls' is working well in your breeding and bucking programs. Come by and we will show you what we have."
