Labor Day Ropings: Appleatchee Roping Club in Wenatchee, WA. Three days of roping will be offered, see their ad in this issue.  The Sombrero Arena in Sunnyside, WA. will be roping on Labor Day with a saddle up for high money winner. Benton City WA. will also be roping on Labor Day with the proceeds going to breast cancer research, there will be $500.00 added in each roping.  T&B Productions will be roping in Lakeview, OR. Labor Day weekend with some very nice awards  up for grabs.

The ACTRA Washington/Oregon Chapter Finals will be held at the TRAC Arena in Pasco, WA. on September 20, 21, 22, 23.  Great prizes, good cattle, dear friends will all be on hand.  Remember you need to have 6 roping days in before you qualify to rope at the State Finals.  You must rope in the State Finals to qualify to rope in the National Finals in Reno, Nevada October 23-28.

Don’t forget the Columbia River Team Roping Finals in November at the TRAC Arena in Pasco, WA. They will also be having the 1st annual Arena Horse Sale, see their ad in this issue.

I’m sure by now you all have noticed we were forced to raise our subscription rates by $3.00.  The US Mail has raised their rates twice in the last several years with the last time raising not only first class rates but raising the mailing rates for newspapers almost double.  We will do everything possible to keep our rates low.
